With a wider and longer platform they offer improved control, making it easier to navigate obstacles on the trail. The integrated cage helps protect the binding system from impacts on rocks or roots and makes stepping in to Shimanos crisp SPD system even easier. The more durable axle provides increased longevity against rock strikes.

They are designed to work best with Shimano's ME and AM series shoes, and come with a 1.0mm cleat spacer to fine tune the cleat interface on varying shoes.
